  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

  • Mix well the chicken, garlic paste, ginger paste and salt. Keep it aside for at least 15-20 mins

Procedure to cook chicken in cooker

  • Add the marinated chicken in a pressure cooker and add some water (100-150 mL)
  • Heat the cooker and allow 2 whistles so that the chicken is half-cooked

Procedure to make curry

  • As the cooker cools down, in the meantime, heat 3 tbsp oil in a large vessel
  • Add the onions and let them soften and become translucent
  • Add green chillies, ginger and garlic paste
  • Add capsicums, mix well and let it cook for 5-7 mins on medium heat
  • Now add turmeric. Adding it now ensures that it doesn’t burn and lends a fresh colour to the dish
  • Add the chicken with a bit of water and let it cool for 15 mins or till chicken is cooked completely
  • add some salt if required (remember we have already added salt in the marinate)
